Thanks for taking the time to drop in and take a look. Let me introduce myself; I’m Katherine, and I’m a personal trainer and Pilates instructor.

Personal Training

My Pilates and PT career began over fifteen years ago after embarking on my own fitness and weight management journey. Amazingly, I went from being unfit and obese (yep!) to becoming a triathlete, Ironman and time trialist – a complete transformation!

I earned my stripes in London, working with a variety of clients of all shapes, sizes and goals. Next, I became a GP referral qualified instructor – so that I could specialise in helping those with more severe health conditions and broaden my abilities.

With desires to be closer to the sea, I moved back to Pembrokeshire and progressed my career yet further by completing a masters in Health Promotion and Public Health.

Pilates

I discovered Pilates after incurring some injuries from endurance events and feeling the strain of poor posture. The results were undeniable – I felt fast benefits when attending sessions, and noticed my overall fitness improving and pain decreasing. I decided it was time to hang up my pedals and pursue my emerging passion for Pilates – who knew rolling around on a mat could make you so fit?!

Crucially, I have found that my personal training background has perfectly complemented my Pilates teaching. It means I can offer holistic and individualised programmes for my clients that focus on their specific needs, limitations and goals.

When you get to know me, you’ll be able to see that I’m passionate about bringing nourishing exercise to people whatever their age, gender, level of mobility or goal.

I started attending Kath’s class about 4 months ago for sciatica caused by two slipped discs (which made walking very difficult on too many occasions). Initially, I feared triggering the pain further but I’ve been amazed by Kath’s personalised and considered approach. She tailors the class to each person and checks in on how the movements are feeling throughout, making appropriate adjustments where needed. Not only have my fears about joining gone but so has the majority of my pain and I feel much stronger as a result. Moreover, Kath makes the sessions extremely fun with her great sense of humour.
